The heinous activities of some miscreants reached to the whole next level as nearly 26 people, including 22 students, were injured after masked miscreants with sticks and rods caused violence inside Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) for close to three hours on Sunday evening.
The Jawaharlal Nehru University students alleged that the attackers entered hostels and assaulted students and teachers. Video footage aired by some TV channels showed a group of men, who were brandishing hockey sticks, moving around a building.
The JNU student union is claiming that the ABVP members were seen climbing the pipes to enter the building with Rods, Hammers and sticks in hand. They even said that they were not given any chance to retaliate or even defend themselves. The ABVP, however, has claimed that its members were attacked by the Left organisations.
Claiming that the RSS-backed Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) was behind the attack, JNUSU said that they can prove with their sources. Out and out it seems there is a specific motive behind this attack and some people are looking at this issue in a broader picture and even suspecting that CAA issue might be one of the reasons behind it. Until the guilty were caught, let us remain these things as mere speculations.
