Former Chief Minister Chandra Babu Naidu was arrested by the AP police at the Benz circle where his son, Nara Lokesh was detained a day before. The capital region in question, Amaravathi was declared as the AP capital in his reign as Chief Minister.

Thullur Police arrested TDP Chief, Nara Lokesh and other TDP leaders in a chaotic situation when the opposition leaders insisted on the walkathon and also for police objecting and seizing the Buses intended for yatra led by Amaravathi Rythu JAC protesting on AP capital change. 

TDP leaders MPs Galla Jayadev, Kanakamedala Ravindra Kumar, TDP secretary Nara Lokesh, Atchennaidu, Devineni Umamaheswara Rao, Rama Naidu, MLC Ashok Babu CPI leader Muppalla Nageswara Rao, were among the arrested.

Police house arrested several leaders along with Chandra Babu and warned him not to come out on the streets. Police dropped all the arrested leaders including Chandrababu Naidu and others at his residence at Undavalli on the banks of River Krishna. 

Police also arrested former MLA Tangirala Soumya and others who were staging a protest on the Highway at Nandigama, against the arrests of TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu and others. A protestor attempted self burn with petrol.
