Speaking technically, ‘Capital Shift’ is not the right word to describe the sensational decision took by the YSRCP government. It is more a ‘Capital Split’ though. Here is a point to be noted that Amaravati is one of the three capitals proposed by the Government.
If the Jagan’s government successfully exercises three capital formula, Amaravati would still be the legislative capital, which seems obvious at this point. So, some of the farmers would get convinced barring the influence of the opposition parties.
As per recent reports, Jagan is planing a strategical move to satisfy the farmers’ demands in Amaravati and the above-mentioned point is one of it. BJP’s president Kanna Lakshmi Narayana said that they are against the shift of the capital from Amaravati due to the loss of the funds issued by the center.
If Jagan can show the proper utilization of the funds that spent and buildings that were built, the people at the centre will have no reason to oppose it. Finally, a proper solution is awaited to satisfy farmers by the Jagan and afterward, it is easy-going for the AP Chief Minister.
