Mana Analysis: Why ALA has an edge over SARILERU..?

-

Allu Arjun and Mahesh Babu

The intensity of the Sankranthi battle decreased as the festive season came to an end. Both ‘Ala Vaikuntapuram Lo’ and ‘Sarileru Neekevvaru’ garnered some great numbers on their first week. But, everyone is eager to know who is the real winner for this Sankranthi.

For the last few days, there has been a war on Twitter about the collections of these movies. Most importantly, the official handles of the two movies started to fight against each other in the form of rivetting promos and poking posters. Though it seemed an unhealthy competition for the industry every one involved in the banter.

First things First: Ala Vaikunapuram Lo is the perfect family entertainer for this Sankranthi. The virtuality in Trivikrams writing and the decent pace with which the movie runs made it the Sankranthi Winner.

Mahesh’s Sarileru Neekevvaru starts with a storm and the Interval Bang is right on target. Later, the Alluri Seetha Ramaraju’s reference made us feel that Mahesh is going to shatter everything in his way. Then begins the downfall of the movie with some inexperienced and immature writing of Anil Ravipudi who couldn’t cope with Mahesh’s stardom.

Trivikram learned from his previous mistakes and designed the 2nd half with abundant entertainment and classy elevation shots. On the other hand, Anil Ravipudi failed to continue the pace of the subject and there is a lack of intensity to elevate Mahesh opposite to the antagonist. The climax is indigestible to any cine fan which made a powerful antagonist a laughing stock.

If the latter half of Sarileru live up to expectations there will be a Super Star Rampage at the Box-Office. But, right now, with the brilliance of Trivikram and ease of Bunny, ‘ALA’ is all set to enter 100 crore mark soon.
