Mana Exclusive: What is Modi’s need to form an alliance with Pawan?

Modi, Pawan Kalyan and Chandra Babu

This was always coming! Pawan Kalyan who established his party in 2013 and has been active since 2019 finally formed an alliance with the largest party in the country, Bharatiya Janatha Party (BJP). The announcement came after a ‘crucial meeting’ in Vijayawada on Thursday, which was held to chalk out their future course of action.

Initially, in 2014 Pawan supported CBN’s TDP and BJP but in 2019, he made some controversial comments on both due to their inability to bring special status to Andhra Pradesh. Pawan who emerged as a leader by idealizing the left parties’ principles finally chose “RIGHT” to survive in the state.

Coming to Modi. his party is nowhere recognizable in the state. In Telangana, he has been proved as the toughest opposition to TRS with the downfall of Congress. But in AP there is no scope for him to mark his presence. On the other side, Pawan Kalyan seems to be desperate for support from somewhere who can provide the required mettle to him and his party from the back.

Modi’s vision is a lot bigger compared to Pawan’s. BJP has no significance in the southern states except for some seats here and there. Hence, as he lost his grip in the North with some controversial decisions he took recently, he wanted to strengthen himself in the South. And he chose the Telugu states as a platform for it and Janasena is a perfect alliance to counter-attack the opposition in Andhra Pradesh.

Now, it is Modi-Pawan vs Jagan-CBN..!
