What happened in the Legislative council is well known to everybody as it is something which no one might have expected to happen. After getting passed by the assembly, the three capitals bill got halted in the council as its chairman MA Sharif had referred it to the select committee by using the special and extraordinary powers of council chairman.
This was a big shock for YSRCP members. Pointing at this issue, many YSRCP leaders addressed the media and expressed their disappointment and opposed this decision of council chairman. Sattenapalli MLA, Ambati Rambabu said that the council was following the orders of former chief minister of AP, Nara Chandra Babu Naidu as he didn’t want the three capitals bill to pass.
He told that if getting the majority was the issue, then it wouldn’t take long for YSRCP to do so. But as they don’t encourage defection, they haven’t done that, according to Ambati. By saying so, Ambati reminded that only because of the values of YSRCP unlike the TDP, the three AP capital bill was halted in council. He even questioned the powers of the chairman of council in referring it to the select committee.
