YSRCP has got a huge shock in the council. The previous day, TDP came up with Rule 71 and asked for conduction of debate on it first and postponed the three capital bill debate. Now, The Chairman of Legislative council, MA Sharif used his special powers which were quoted under Rule 154, and referred the two most controversial bills, CRDA (AP Capital Region Development Authority) and DIDR ( Decentralisation and Inclusive Development of All Regions), to the select committee.
Protesting over the decision of council chairman, Kodali Nani, and Avanthi Srinivas have climbed the table while ministers Kanna Babu and Botsa Satyanarayan too have come up to the chairman’s podium and argued with him. Questioning over his decision, Finance Minister Buggana, Pilli Subhash, YCP MLC Janga Krishnamurthy as well as other YCP MLCs also have surrounded the council chairman.
Almost all the YSRCP members were shocked by his decision at the eleventh hour. While this was such, farmers of Amaravati who have been protesting against three capitals bill have celebrated this decision overnight. Also, MA Sharif has become an overnight hero to these people. TDP too relaxed by this after too many heated arguments.
