The Vijayawada Police have detained the former IT Minister of Andhra Pradesh Nara Lokesh at the Benz circle. Nara Lokesh, at that time, was on his way to participate in the protest against the Jagan’s three-capital idea for AP.
He was arrested along with some of the key leaders in the party such as Kollu Ravindra and was taken to the police station along the Avenigadda-Vijayawada-Karakatta road. TDP leaders and joint action committee leaders were taken into custody.
Majority of the leaders were in house arrest in Guntur and Krishna districts, in the view of the call for national highway blockade. The police blocked the farmers at Chinankakani who are holding vanta varpu for two thousand farmers.
People from 30 villages from the capital region have been protesting against the Government’s decision for weeks. On the other side Jagan is in no mood to care their protests as he is already busy shifting his administration base to Vizag.
