AP CM Jagan Mohan Reddy hasn’t had any good time in the past few days. He has done what it takes to pass the decentralization bill in the assembly but Chandrababu Naidu tactically averted all the equations calculated by the YSRCP government leaving no choice to the AP CM but to cancel the legislative council.
The same kind of situation happened in 1985 where the former Chief Minister N. T. Rama Rao was fed up with Congress party led by Roashaiah and cancelled the council. Jagan is going to do the same but there is a twist in its process. The cancellation of the legislative council needs the approval of the parliament and therefore Modi should give a nod to it.
After BJP and Janasena formed an alliance the real tough phase for Jagan has started and everyone thinks that there is no way for Jagan to convince Modi. But out of blue, here comes the solution.
Remember that Jagan has 20 odd MPs in the parliament who will do anything that their Chief wants. So, as the Modi government in its downfall with some brave decisions they took in the recent time, Jagan may make a deal with them. He can assure them his MPs would support NDA at crisis time only if they support him in the scrapping of the AP council.
As they say, “Every problem has a solution”.
