Budget Analysis: Jagan fails to do a YSR

-

The Union Budget for the financial year 2020-2021 showed no interest in the Telugu states and the Andhra Pradesh CM Jagan Mohan Reddy failed to influence the Modi Government despite having 22 MLAs.

Jagan Mohan Reddy and YS Raja Sekhar Reddy

Raja Sekhar Reddy has 33 MPs from both Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Raja Sekhar Reddy made the most of this situation and the RamayaPatnam port, Nizam Patnam Port e.t.c were allotted to the state as a part of the union budget.

YSR had no issues with Sonia and she allotted every that Raja Sekhar Reddy asked for. But Jagan failed to capitalize on severe opposition that Modi is facing with the anti CAA effect.

It is quite clear that Jagan has no intentions and expectations on the union budget. During the crucial period, Jagan Mohan Reddy is working on his three capital dream. More ever, he can’t even pressurize the center for the allocation of the required funds. As the abolition of the legislative council remains as the focal point in the state, Jagan needs Modi’s support and he is no situation to wage a war against the BJP.
